If the camshaft was installed 180 degrees out of time which is the only way the valves could open on the compression stroke - there likely would be a catastrophic engine failure with the valves hitting the top of the piston and the valve stems bending.
It might also punch a hole in the top of the piston.
Even spinning the engine over on the starter would likely cause this failure
